lights don't go off

1996 chevrolet 2500 pickup; tail and interior lights remain

on with switch off. The only way to turn them off is to pull

the fuse. I've already done some of the obvious checks and

found nothing. Please help to shed the light from this subject.

Better define "interior lights". Do you mean the dash backlighting or do you mean the interior lights as in the dome light?

1996 chevrolet 2500 pickup; tail light and dash backlighting won't turn

off. Signal chime that warns of lights being left on also remains on when lights

won't go off. A few times when lights were turned off everything went off

momentarily. After just a few seconds the chime and lights came back on.

The very first sign of a problem was the 20amp fuse burned. Didn't have a 20

so replaced with a 30amp. Now lights won't go off unless fuse is pulled. I suspect

maybe the light switch is shorted. Is there perhaps a relay or something i should

check first.
