DIC mpg for dmax

Anyone out there suffering from their DIC reporting a worse mileage than they actually see after hand computing their numbers? Of all the tanks I've bought, I think my truck has under-reported only twice, and then only by a tiny hair. Most of the time it reports a substatially "happier" mpg than is really the case. Very annoying.

 

My dealer claims it is acceptable for it to report +- 20% off. Wonder why the shape of the trucks are not +- 20% off from the blueprint..

Mine is incorrect, but I also went to a 265/75/16 tire... Also, I have heard that if you "chip" or turn up your Dmax, that the DIC will not give you the right numbers...

 

I am consistantly gettting 1-1.5 MPG better than the DIC estimates, and that is without taking into consideration the larger tires.

Mine is typically lower than the DIC calculates.

Mine is the same way for fuel usage too... I can never put as much diesel in the tank as the DIC says I have used!
