best way to lower 04 silverado

hello, im new to the forums and i am looking to lower my 2004 silverado about a 2/4 or so, or whatever will lower it out, so what would be the best way to lower the front and back?

Let the air out of the tires? Is this a show truck or a somewhat daily driver? I never understood why people wanted to lower a truck other than for shows. I'm not knocking you or anything, just trying to understand...sometimes I'm slow ;)

hey man this is just my personal preference, different people like different things, iv had my share of 4X4's and im just ready for somthing new, unless you have any advice for helping me find out the easiest way to lower my truck, please dont waste my time.

I second the thought of lowering my truck a well. I too have an 04 silverado. I already have the 20" rims, and I like the look up front...but in the back the rear of the truck seems to be about 2 inches too high and I don't like the look of it.

 

I'm sure I could get a lowering kit for cheap but I only want to do the rear.

Buy a ricer!! Lighten up, he was obviously kidding!! Check out Summit Racing's section on shakles and such.

Oh well - its hard to get good advise without getting some kind of " just kidding input" just looking for a easy solution to lower my truck -

I dropped the rear by 2" on my 06 Silverado Z71 w/shackles, took about an hour to do parts cost $44.00 from Stylin Concepts.

Hey, i'm with you.

I have an '04 quad cab and plan on doing a 3/4 drop. I like the raked hot rod look.

Springs up front, and a hanger/shackle kit would do the job, and you can keep your shocks. The ride won't really feel any different unless you are driving over gravel often.
