I have a 2006 CC Z71, with front discs and rear drums. I am replacing the front rotors on my truck and there is different optoins for rotors when I go to buy them Which Brkae system do I have?

The rotors are covered under warrenty, I have had mine done once already and there is a thread on this forum about warped rotors and drums.

If you open the hood and look at what the master cylinder is bolted to, a vacuum booster is big and round and will have a single rubber tube about 5/8" diameter running to the top of the engine. A hydro booster will be about the size of the master cylinder with two lines running to the power steering pump (disclaimer: this is how the Ford, Mopar, and GM systems worked from the 70's to 90's).

Hydroboosters were only used where there was no vacuum (diesels and some turbo and supercharger applications) and where there were space limitations (e.g.: 460cid Ford cars, 440cid Aspen and Volare police packs), and in rare circumstances where more boost was needed than vacuum could reasonably supply. The hydrobooster is more expensive, so you know it will not be used except where needed.

HydroBoost braking/power steering systems are on all 2500HD & 3500HD GM trucks.
