Max trailer pack gone??

Just noticed this yesterday. When you go to build and price a new Silverado the max trailer pack is no longer an option. It is still available on the Sierra but not the Silverado. You can still get the 6.0 (L76) if you add (Z71) but that forces 3.73 gearing. I know you could get the 6.0 with 4.10 gearing with the (NHT)max trailer pack on Friday. Wonder why it is now gone. Anyone got any info?

Thanks,

Chris

GM is always changing what options are available on their trucks. I'm disappointed that you can no longer get a manual with the bigger engines in pretty much any vehicle other than the Corvette Z06. Hell, I look for vehicles with manuals because they're less likely to get STOLEN as most crooks can't drive a manual.

I just went on and the whole 'build a truck' is down. Also, the locate has never worked for a new sierra. We've got 4-5 gmc dealers around and I've called them all as I want to drive a NHT trailer max package before buying/ordering. I doubt the option is gone. The whole build a truck thing has had many errors, this is probably just another one.

The build site has quite a few omissions. I noticed too that the max tow pkg is gone. There are others missing as well...if you try to build out a 2LT on the site it does not allow you to select RPOs PDD (2LT Convenience Package, includes (AP3) remote vehicle starter system, (UG1) universal home remote, (DL3) outside heated power-adjustable, power-folding and driver-side auto-dimming mirrors and (XA7) heated windshield washer fluid system) and PDB (2LT Audio Package, includes (US9) AM/FM stereo with MP3 compatible 6-disc in-dash CD changer, (UQA) Bose premium speaker system and (U2K) XM Satellite Radio).

Its kinda frustrating when you are trying to compare a 2LT with some of the extra packages with a LTZ.

Check out Edmunds.com. They have a build a truck section. IT is not as interactive. I am not sure but it might let you double order an item that is in a Convenience Package elsewhere. It does seem to have all the available options listed though.

Just STUPID :)

LETS IMAGINE THIS:

I am sitting in a board room for GM:

overpaid executive #1 says:

Toyota may have a truck that could possibly gain some market share in full size trucks.

overpaid executive #2 says:

I know. Lets tell the web guys to goof up the part of the website that alllows americans to build the truck of their dreams. They will think we have something even better coming.

overpaid executive #3 says:

That is a great idea. Make it so #1

i know i had configured a truck at about 31000.00 for a 6.0 with the 1LT trim , i thought that was cool . I pretty much ordered a stripper truck , hope they did not realize that people were doing that .
