Door Trim

The exterior door trim is held on with a rubber tape that can be carefully cut to remove the trim. The residue can be removed with a Wax and Grease remover, Goo-Gone, or WD-40. The warmer the better for removal and some guys use light weight nonofilimant fishing line to cut the tape. I never have, but it seems like a good idea to me. Save the trim because you can glue it on later if you want to reuse it. Take your time and you won't scratch the paint. I think it would look better without, but that's just my opinion.

I guess this is on topic of the door trim, but my drivers side door trim is sagging. I've thought about taking it to the dealership and getting the new style trim but i think i just wanna have my driver side repaired, what should i use???

Actually you dont need to do any cutting if you wait until summertime. Let your truck sit outside for awhile. I let mine sit out even in 70ish degree weather in the sun all day and it'll warm up the trim enough that you can slowly peel it away with your hands. You will have some residue leftover which you can rub off with the mentioned substances above I didnt have much residue when I did mine. Just made sure to concentrate on that area when I washed my truck afterwards. Looks way better without that plastic junk hanging off the sides :banghead:

Yeah, the only good thing is (and this is probobly why their on there in the first place) tards who fling their doors open in parking lots and smack other peoples doors. I usually park in the back where ever I go because of that. I remember a buddy of mine with an older Explorer Sport Trac SMACKED a Mercedes with 30 day tags at the airport this Fall with his door. ...someone had a s**t fit when they got back.

Thats the only thing keeping them on right now, that and its freezing balls outside.
