Center Caps on the 2500HD 8 lug

Does anyone know if the center caps for the chrome steel wheels are the same for the polished aluminum wheels??

 

Speaking of the 06-07 classic type stock wheels.

 

I swapped from the stock steel to the stock aluminums.

 

Are the center the same, they don't seem to fit on and tighten up?

as far as i know thay are the same. i have seen alot of those caps that don't hold like they should.

I tried taking the little rubber pads off one of my new ones. But it didn't work.

 

The good thing is that a buddy is trading me these alloys for my steel.

I guess I cam trade him centers too. Except his is gmc and mine is chevy.

 

Is there a easy way to swap out the center emblem? without messing them up?

 

I think they have some type of rtv sealent in them to hold the emblem in there.

they don't fit. the same thing happen to me. the chome rim and alumunim rim have diffrent caps
