Escort 8500 X50 Mount - Advice Please

I've searched with no luck. Can anyone tell me where to obtain a "hard" mount for an Escort 8500 X50 in a 2005 Tahoe. Someone has to sell one. I want to eliminate the suction cups. Better yet, has anybody fabricated one of their own from metal stock which mounts to the bolt/screw securing the passenger visor or to the mirror stem?

I've read a lot of good things about them and their bracket for the Valentine One for the Corvettes, they may be of help for the X50?

I don't happen to use their bracket w/my Valentine1 as I use the cups on the windshield and a wire tap into the rear view mirror plug/harness.

That's pretty funny as I have one of their Escort mounts in my C5 Corvette. I'm looking for the same thing for my Tahoe. Their mount is what's driving my search. Too bad they don't make one for the Tahoe.
