Why clean it just throw it away. They are better in the trash can.
 "World's Best Air Filter" my ass!

I run a K&N because I don't like to buy a new filter every oil change. If I actually get a tad more more power then..great.

Word svenks. Im not too worried about a few "microparticles" entering my engine. Im running a panel K&N until Outlaw gets their dry filters in some year soon. Im satisfied with it, I probobly under oiled it because I didnt want to over oil, but oh well.

Zack, under no circumstances would I think you would replace your air filter with every oil change. Unless you are in the field every day, a good quality paper element will last 30,000 + miles and in some cases more. I am not beating up on your K&N eventhough I do not personally run them in my vehicles, but I did want to make sure you knew that a paper air filter will last a long time.

Agreed Trey.

Outlaws new paper filters can be hosed off, or blown out with an air compressor! Mine should be in Thursday or Friday. IMO its the best of both worlds, good filtration, good flow, reuseable, and inclosed in an airbox. They might not look too pretty, but it's not horrible looking either. Volants look pretty sharp under the hood tho. For $250 shipped its a killer deal.

I've just been old school like that for something less than 10 bucks I might as well change it. But mine were never very dirty so I switched over to the K&N which has been working fine for the last couple years. I cleaned it for the first time yesterday. Kind of a pain in the ass, especially not knowing really how much oil to use. The directions have you use way too much I think so I cut back quite a bit.
