01 suburban door speaker replacement

Its time to replace the door speakers in my 01 Suburban. The stock size is 6.75 in each door. The two front doors also have tweeters mounted in them. I was wondering if anyone has put 6x9 speakers in their doors. Is this possible to do behind the factory grille? What all would be involved?

It can be done just would half to do a lot of cutting into the door but better off staying with the 6.5 in the front just put compnets .

Do you know anyone who has ever done it?

The reason I'm asking is because I already have a set of pioneer 5-way 6x9's and if possible, I'd like to use them. Cutting out metal is not a big deal to me, but I just dont want it to look all crappy. I want the end result to look as if they came with 6x9's in the front doors. If I cant do it like that, then thats another story. By the way, I see yer from Metairie. I'll be down there this weekend for MARDI GRAS. Mardi Gras day, I'll be on vets right past Bonnabel.
