pcm4less + 4.3 = problems

So I got my new pcm from pcm4less. It was from a 4.3 so they said there was no need for a crank relearn. So i plugged it in and woohoo. BUt here is something odd i noticed from the first day of driving

My idle before was like 500rpm, now its like 8-9 hundered. What the heck?! Is there a way to fix this, thanks. I did the firmer shifting as well and d**n it shifts hard maybe to hard :X ILl post back other results

Oh yeah the hard shifting is good, until it downshifts and the bloody truck feels like its going to implode. So far I like it alot, but I have only driven 100 miles, ill report back at 500 with how I like the tune or not.

I believe pcm4less is Bryan that you can call. On my 04 SS they did raise the idle in the tune but that can be put back to where you like it. He can also make the shifts a little softer by putting more torque managment back in. Doesn t sound like a problem. Drive it a little , then call if there is somthing you don t like. Good luck and Bryan is easy to deal with. The removal of torque management may be to rough on an older transmission.Bryan s # is 724-349-4431.

Well its pretty lame because he responds to none of my emails.

But the pcm eventually quieted itself down without the crank relearn. Upon first startup it still jumps to 1.500 and stays there, but once it warms up forthe rest of the day it will idle where it is supposed to.

I just wish he would reply to me so I could get more work done.

Definatly worth it though.

So the 4.3L has torque management too? That's lame. I guess GM doesn't think the 4l65e can handle the MASSIVE power and torque of the v6. I've been trying to figure out if my 07 1500 has t.m.

Sorry for the hijack but internet explorer kept crashing when I tried to start a new thread.
