Kill Switch - fuel pump or starter? Best place?

Ok, so I have the schematics for both the starter circuit & the fuel pump. Both are controlled by relays that would be simple to disable with a small kill switch.

What's the preferred method? I know the starter disable won't allow it to crank over, and the FP would...so I presume for theft deterrence that it would be better on the fuel pump circuit?

I also searched this forum for "kill switch" and found the post about the person that connected the starter to the horn when the key was turned - that was a nice touch! I may do that....

And as far as best places to hide the small switch, has anybody come up with any good ideas? Overhead console? Under the seat? In one of the unused little dash pockets?

Oh - the reason I'm asking is that, although I live in a good neighborhood, some punk smashed my window the other day & took my radar detector. I know this won't solve that problem, but I'm working on several things to help fix that problem, including a 9mm Glock... :-)

I like that idea... you could use all sorts of other things too like the brake, lights, radio, A/C, etc.

Those are some interesting ideas. Just today while driving I thought of using the factory dome lamp override switch to activate the starter kill. Nothing like hiding it in plain sight! Small, black, push/push switch, easily bypassed & used for the starter kill.

BUT if the thief is experienced at stealing GM's, maybe he knows to turn the dome lamps off while he works, and he'd inadvertantly activate the starter kill? If that is a concern, another idea is to get a factory GM 4wd control switch panel & put it in the dash where it would normally go. No thief will think about that switch being there on a 2wd pickup....whaddya think?
