As a trade, as a private sale, as a dealer sale? Location matters too. What cab size is it?

It's a crew cab, trade in upstate New York or NY/NJ/CT area.....

Look up its wholesale value on www.kbb.com AND www.nada.com. You will get far for more money for it if you sell it yourself. It sounds like a VERY easy truck to sell. This is a dealers dream mark-up trade-in. They live for people who do what you are thinking of.

I have the same truck but a Silverado and only 10K miles.

Trade-in on my truck is $31,600

Private party value is $35,200 (if I were to sell it myself)

I live in Western PA.

You're numbers would be lower because of the milage. Kelly Blue Book states that average milage for this truck is 33K miles.

Don't trade it! You are handing the dealer $5000+ on this truck. Sell it yourself!!!

Believe it or not a Ford dealer told me a formula to use that has been pretty accurate twice now. We traded in my wife's 04 Impala LS on an 06 Explorer XLT. The dealer told us that if we went to KBB.com and under the trade-in value put the condition of the car as "good" that we'd be within $500 on trade in value. It worked cause they gave us $100 more than KBB said for the Impala. The next time it worked was when I traded in my 03 1500 on my 07 2500HD Classic. My truck came in at $12,700 on KBB.com and the dealer gave me $12,500. So far the formula seemed to give me a good idea. It also worked for my buddy who was looking to upgrade his 04 1500 and the trade in offer was w/in $200 for him.

You are probably better off selling it yourself if it is immaculate. There's a lot of people out there looking for a duramax that's in that good of shape.

WOW!!!!! This is a HOME RUN sale! I wouldn't be surprised if it sells at full asking price in a week with that kind of protection/care! You are without question far better off selling it yourself.

Don't forget ......When the average Joe walks into any bank and asks

for xxx to purchase a USED vehicle the first thing a bank will want to

know is what vehicle? The most ANY bank will loan a private person

on a used vehicle is either loan value which is usually lower than

wholesale and they will need to come up with the difference in cash!

Thats a problem for most buyers.

In most cases they don't have it ! Not to mention the PIA tire

kickers and joyriding strokes........................

I've found that KBB AVERAGE condition is a good guide for what you'll get on trade. The difference between an immaculate truck and an average one isn't that great after a really good detail - and the typical purchaser isn't going to be able to tell.

If you can sell it private party, do so.
