video file converting

Hey guys, I was wondering if any of yall knew of a good (free) video converter. I have several vids from several different digital cameras and consequently there are three different file types (mov, wmv, and avi). I want to convert them all to either wmv or avi so I can do some editing. Any ideas?

I haven't seen anything about MOV converting...I have the Nikon Coolpix L3 and Nikon's videos are encoded for .MOV...I have looked for converting software and haven't found anything, maybe I'm looking hard enough.

I did a search on www.doom9.org and came up with this program. I don't know if it will leave a watermark or not. I'm not sure which one you will work for you.

I got this from the Kim Komando website. All of their recommended programs have been tested and have no spyware.
