What is this sticker?

Came on my 07. Getting ready to remove it, and was just wondering what the heck it's for. A google search turned up nothing. Don't know if it was put on by GM or the dealership.

I think Tuscon is on to something.......just like when NASCAR runs Richmond, all the Chevy and GMC dealers loan their vehicles for VIP duty for the drivers.

Thusfar, I've just been telling everyone that it's "No F'n Clue"...

But the game was in Miami. I bought my truck in Houston from a dealer that had to get it from another dealer in Houston. It had 70 miles on it.

And I assume that if it was demo'd, they have to tell you and can't sell it as new.

Maybe not....but I think the football connection is just a coincidence.

When they have the 43 pre race trucks for the nascar race here in Fort Worth I heard they disperse them all over, which could have been the case with yours, it may have been used in New Orleans during the NFC playoffs and trucked to Houston to sell with others

If that's the case, can they legally sell it as new? I mean, it had 70 miles, and had been driven about 30 from the other dealership. It looked brand new. I'm not real worried about it, but I'd just like to know.

Isn't it considered new until it's titled?

The vehicle was used as a VIP vehicle before sale at a special event.

A program car is a car which has been used by an auto executive or event staff for typically one year or less, and then sold as a new car.

quoted from cars.com:

"The safest bet for used-car buyers is the "nearly new" or "barely used" vehicle categories. Oftentimes, these are the vehicles that dealerships use for demonstrations, test drives or short-term transportation during special events, such as golf tournaments. These so-called "demo" cars may have a few hundred or several thousand miles on their odometers, but they're still considered new because they've never been owned or titled by an individual. These gently used, well-cared-for vehicles could save you hundreds or thousands of dollars compared to a brand-new one, and they represent a safer risk than a used vehicle. Though they've racked up some miles, they remain covered under the factory warranty. But if a vehicle has more than 10,000 miles on it, it's no longer considered a demo — but rather a used vehicle — and should be priced accordingly."

I am not sure about the laws in your state regarding this. I do not know if they have to disclose this.

Did you get a deal on the price i.e. below msrp or dealer cost?

I would check into it, read your sales paperwork carefully, and if the dealer violated any laws I would go talk to them and see if you can get some freebies for your truck in compensation. I would bitch anyway

Definitely seems like a brass hat car that they used for some sporting event. The dealership I used to work at loaned Buicks out for the Kemper Open. Then they sold them as new and as cars used by the VIPs. I'm uncertain if it's a Federal Law but, a car isn't used unless it's been titled before or unless it goes over 7701 miles. I beleive that all of the demos needed to be turned in before that mileage.

Oh, great. So GM has "sponsored" this year's and last year's Grammy event with about 100 Escalade's. Some of my bodys drove the hell out of them. Many of them had rappers in them. Are these vehicles considered still "genlty used", "vell cared for" new vehicles.

I tell you, if some dealer sells me one of those as new, I would start a lawsuit.
