Ac/heater Will Not Turn Off

Ok here is the situation.

I replaced the main wireharness under the dashboard for an 04 Tahoe due to fire damage. The blower motor remains at a constant speed which you cannot change and the control panel will only adjust the temperature. The blower will remain on even if the vehicle is off. I replaced the transformer (the electrical compnent on the blower motor) and this did not work.

I am at a loss.

Fire damage??? that doesn't sound very good. Assuming the fire didn't melt anything else, you fan is being connected directly to the battery somehow (wrong harness??). It will only run at one speed unless it goes through the resistor that is controlled by the selection switch.

Only thing I can suggest is get a mulitmeter and start tracing wires.
