Radio Clock Keeps Resetting

2003 GMC Sierra Extended Cab Z71. Bought this truck used a couple months ago. The clock on the radio keeps resetting to 12:00am. Sometimes at startup, sometimes just driving down the road. Display will go blank, music stops for a couple seconds, then everything comes back up with everything the same except the clock reset. Happens every 4 or 5 days. The truck has the 6 disc CD Changer

It sound like a loose connection for the power to the unit. Pop the trim off, take the unit out and make sure all the connectors are securely connected.

I have done that allready and all is good. I just removed the plastic shroud from around the power center under the hood and found that mice made a nest in the cluster of wires and connectors there. They chewed through 3 wires and thye were all touching. It may have back fed into the radio and fryed something. I took it out for a ride and it keeps reseting still, after all the repairs. I need to find the wire diagrams and see what these 3 wires are for.
