I recently came up with the idea to chrome plate the strips that are in between the top and bottom headlights. I think it would look good. I found a place in New Mexico that will try to do it but because the're plastic, I'd have to send a test pair first to see if they would'nt melt. The guy said he thinks there is a 95% chance for success. The question is: is there an easier way, or a place I can buy them chromed already? I can buy new pieces for $20.00, but I don't know what finish they are. The part number for them is 10397972. There has got to be an easy way to do this.

There is an easier way, order a new gille from an 03-05 that came with chrome like mine.

The top of the grill is different, but maybe I could cut those pieces off. That's the best idea I've had, but then there are raw edges left.

Thanks though.

Well in case anyone wanted to know I found the answer! GM direct got back with me on the part that I need. It looks pretty cool. It's almost exactly what I wanted except I still want the billet grill, but this looks like it's all one solid piece. It'll work!

Just buy some billet inserts to clip on top of the new part would be one way to go.
