Vacuum Question

99 Tahoe, 5.7L, no mods.

About a year an a half ago I changed my lower

intake manifold gaskets because of a coolant leak.

I think I did it properly because I had no issues after

putting it all back together.

Now I have an idle problem and am wondering about a possible

vacuum leak that I cannot find.

Question: I have a slight amount of vacuum from the

PCV valve grommet hole in the valve cover. Is this normal?

I know there should be vacuum going into the upper intake

manifold, but should there be any vacuum going into the valve covers?

Thanks, Ron

Well I am not allowed to make a topic so this is the closest place I could find to ask this question

I have 95 Sierra 4x4 with 350 TBI, so what I would like to know is where is the best place to connect a vacuum gauge into the system to get as best a reading as possible.

Thanx, DCBJ
