496 XL Posted May 17, 2007 Posted May 17, 2007 I have a 2005 yukon xl/2500,thinking of doing the 8 hi/lo/fog/DRL all on when the hi's are on using the diode method,is this safe or should I just go with the 6 hi/lo/fog ? All replies are appreciated, 496xl
Burbman Posted May 17, 2007 Posted May 17, 2007 Don't know why you would want the DRLs on also, they are not very bright. I would just go for the 6.
GasHog369 Posted May 17, 2007 Posted May 17, 2007 go for the 6... you can get a allready made specifically for your truck kit thru www.mrtaillight.com thats where i got mine, works great
496 XL Posted May 17, 2007 Author Posted May 17, 2007 The DRL's are kinda lacking power, wonder how hi I could go on the wattage before damaging the lens? I did the 6 hi with the diode method for .59 cents, looks good and will do the ops check on my trip tonight. Any ideas on some brighter bulbs for the lows and hi's? Thx again for the replies. rgds, 496xl
