Need Drivers Side Mirror Glass

Recommended Posts

Posted

The dealer said retail for glass is $395 and he would sell it to me for $300, he said it's expensive because of the self dimmimg and heated element. There has got to be a cheaper way and no this isn't the entire mirror. How about a part number for a heated glass without dimming? The truck is a 2002 Sierra Denali.

Thanks,

Dan,

There is a much cheaper route, but you will lose both the heat and dimming features. You can order a regular mirror glass (specify no heat, no auto-dimming) for less that $50. They all fit the exact same way to the mirror motor. Just be careful if you are installing it yourself, they can break easily if you do not apply even pressure when installing them. Good luck.

Thanks, I just ordered the aftermarket replacement with heat off ebay for $54.99, I don't think I will miss the dimming feature.

For future glass seekers, I also recommend ebay, but look closely and I think you can find replacement glass for the heated/dimming features as well.
