Wait4me Tune Questions

I was curious about a wait4m tune. For those who have one, have you seen any real increases in mileage with a 91 or 93 octane tune? With the way gas prices are, I figure even if I make a few MPG gains per tank, it would be worth it. Here in Delaware there is 10% mandatory ethanol year-round...would Jesse's tune help this?

I got jesse's tune about a month ago now.... I havent seen any increase in mileage, still at 12.9 , but i have seen a huge jump in power and response! Now if i drove the truck normal, and getting into it at every light, i might see a mpg gain. But ever since i got the tune, ive been filling up with 91-93 octane and am loving the power!

If you think about it tho, to have that much gain in power and response and not have the mpg go down, thats technically a gain...

I have shown nearly 2 mpg gain....problem is, I'm not sure what changed it. First I had 3.23 gearing and the standard tires and then I installed 20" tires. Mileage went down even after correcting for the different size tires. With the 20" tires and 3.23 gearing, It was a dog when trying to pull the 3500 lb. boat. My next project consisted of installing 3.73 gearing and the wait4me tune. Not only will it pull the boat all the way to the lake without downshifting 30 times on a small grade, I gained mpg and just greater performance.

I have a NBS 99 and got a tune about 4 months ago. I gained 4mpg, from 15 to 18mpg. I asked Jessie for a tune for better mileage. I got more power as well but that was just a bonus. YOu can get a perfomance tune, mileage tune or a mix. I guess mine was the mix. With gas at over $3 a gallon, the $154 tune pays for itself after about 14 fill ups.

Thanks, That what I am looking for...as far as 150 for a tune thats small potatoes as far as mileage and performance are conerned. I'm gonna get one...my only issue now is should I send in my PCM or get a 2002+ and get a crank relearn

i think thats what pm26 had in mind.

3mpg is correct. I had fat fingers when I was typing. Plus I went to public school in TX so I always thought 18-15=4. I did gain 3mpg with no other changes. I don't think I have to justify it to anyone. Those of you with a mileage tune know what they can do.

I got 3-4 mpg with a Wait4me tune using 93 octane. The tune and the 93 octane is worth it in the long run. Change the exhaust and drive like an adult and you'll see it too. My average mpg this week was 19.4 on a 260 mile trip. I live in Pa. with up and down hills. 70% of my trip this week was highway traveling.

I'm undecided if I want to get one. I'm already getting 19.7 MPG on the highway with my '06 Z-71. I'd like a little more performance and response but with gas being around $3.70 a gallon here in Chicago I think I'll keep it stock for now....can't argue with almost 20MPG I'm getting.

I would say if a truck is getting 13mpg like some here claim, either something is wrong with your truck or you drive like a 16 year old kid. It is a truck, not a race car. It is made to haul loads not race ricer cars. Drive it like it was meant to be driven and your mileage will incease.

I wonder if this could be of help to the 07's with DOD

I have been in contact with Jesse and as of a couple weeks ago, he does not have the software/ability to tune the NBS GM's yet.
