B A K Bed Rail Caps For Nbs

I finally got my bed rail caps from that great "Truck Addons.com" dump

They fit like crap and are 1/2 inch to long. The edges are not finished very well either. The last pair I put on my 03 1500HD were Perfect. Any of you guys have this problem. They were shipped directly from BAK industries so truck addons wasn't the problem. Hope they will send me a better set!

Vehicle Fx sent me out 4 sets before they were close enough to use. Same deal either the holes were cut wrong or they were damaged. Vehicle FX was great to deal with but I won't buy another set of BAK Pro Caps. Seems like from previous posts they had a quaily product now is seems like a 5 year old cut them out:(

I would not recommend them!

do the factory GM ones match better to the gate? I know they are like 100.00

but if they fit right I might go for them

I've been trying to find decent caps for my new body style as well. Had the BAKs on order but cancelled after I was told they would take at least a month to ship. Now I'm glad I did. topdj where have you seen the factory ones for order? i've been looking at gmcaccessories.com but they are not listed yet. I had a set of bushwackers on my previous truck that fit great but so far they are not making any for the nbs.

I put the GM bed rail protectors # 17802475 on my NBS 8' bed last month.Fit perfect they have the cut outs for the stake holes too,92.65

I decided to get a set too, my new Extang hard fold needs them to match the height of the tailgate fin. the cover will fit better

I know this is an old post, but I had to add my $.02 here. Sorry this is long, but I wanted to forewarn anyone that was considering buying BAK bed rail caps, or ordering from truckaddons.com

 

I ordered from truckaddons.com. Ordered a bedRug and that came right away. The BAK bed rail caps took forever. I called truckaddons multiple times and got the run around. They were telling me they were on back order, yet I called BAK directly and they didn't know why truckaddons was saying they were about, they had tons in stock. So I get the caps finally almost 1 1/2 weeks after they were shipped directly from BAK and the right cap was perfect, the holes lined up. The left one was a different story. The rear stake hole was almost 1/2" off...wtf! Of course when I dry fitted them I didn't notice until I actually mounted the d**n things. Looks retarded to say the least. Called BAK and they told me nobody was in the warranty dept, so they took my info down and promised someone would call me back. Of course they never called. I called again and told them someone dropped the ball and I wanted this taken care of ASAP. So, they claim they are sending another pair out to me free of charge right away. We will see if that's true and who knows if the holes will be right this time, they better be. Now it will be fun to remove the old one and all the double stick tape! Idiots! I would say, STAY AWAY FROM BAK bed rail caps.

BTW the GM ones fit perfect and cost me 95.00 I bought them directly from the dealer, had they not fit correctly they would have ended back on the parts counter

For the folks buying the GM bed caps: Do they match the NBS tail gate cap? And do they extend down the side like the tailgate cap? And does your NBS tailgate cap stop short at both ends?

 

Mine is about 1/2 to 1" short at each ends. Looks ok without side caps. I suspect it is going to look odd with side caps, and is not going to protect the paintwork as I drag stuff in and out.
