Finally Hit A Milestone Yesterday!

Well, after five years and four months I finally rolled 100,000 yesterday. Besides the intermediate steering shaft being replaced a few times and the water pump springing a leak under warranty I have had no problems to speak of! I have kept up with the maintence intervals and now that I have hit 100K I will do the following I plan on doing the following:

1. Replace fuel, air, and cabin filters.

2. Change fluid in front and rear diffs, transfer case, and transmission. I will drop the pan and replace the screen too.

3. Lubricate the front end; change the oil.

4. Replace all hoses, plugs, and wires (all are original).

5. Clean the throttle body, replace the PCV valve, and run some fuel system cleaner through it.

6. Replace shocks (I think) - they are original.

7. Maybe have windshield replaced (it is cracked) and have the three door dings taken out.

She should last another 100K!! Check out the pictures:

Sir,

These are solid, simple, reliable, pretty vehicles. You have many more miles before any major problems and, if you like your truck, do the repairs, keep up the maintnance. We have the best engines, transmissions and drivelines on the road, just read the Ford and Chrysler blogs. Enjoy the fact that we do not have 40,000 mile transmissions.

Continue to enjoy the comfort, reliability and appearance of your truck. Do not expect significant problems for many thousands of miles..

I LOVE my '00 Silvy. Having come from Ford (Which blew up in Chiriaco Summit, Ca, (Large amount of smoke, no fire) my '00 with 130 k has been great. It still looks good and runs flawlessly. Nursed Ford 30 miles to Blythe, Ca (20 gallons of water and 7 qts of oil)where I bought the Silvy, Dashboard squeaks but that is a tupperware issue. Really, that is my worst complaint.

We have really great vehicles, enjoy them.

If it can't take Chiriaco, it's not a truck. I pulled a loaded U-*%#*@ auto transport up Chiriaco with my Silverado and it didn't break a sweat. I only have 60K but I'm looking forward to many more worry-free miles with my '03.

Thats funny!

You'll probably carry that pic in your wallet like I carry a pic of my girl!

Hahaha

And, I do find it funny how your speedo is at 0, I picture you driving around the block a few times just so you can capture the exact moment in time!

Hahaha Atleast you were't driving 80mph and trying to take the pic.

Actually, I was driving down the highway..96 - 98 I was going about 65. Some came out really blurry. I wanted to get clear pics of 99 and 100 so I pulled over!
