Leaking Transfer Case?

Recommended Posts

can you guys please go to my myspace site, www.myspace.com/sweatyapplesauce and look at the two pictures of my trucks what I believe to be the transfer case. I did some very minor offroading yesterday and I used the 4 wheel drive for about 10 minutes, and now I notice this. Thank you very much. I forgot to add when I bought the truck back in December the dealer fixed the rear transfer case seal and the the front pump seal. My knowledge on 4x4 systems isn't that good, this is my first truck. I'm not how to post pics on here, so please forgive me.

Edit: I should have added its leaking red fluid, and I'm not 100 percent that this is the t-case.

Would love to help, but you have your pics set to private on your site

Hopefully this should make it easier, because I can't figure out why my myspace account is still at private. Anyway, here are the 2 pics of the leak, and some pics of my truck thrown in for good measure. Its getting washed today.

Clean the case up with degreaser then see if it still leaks...Also check the fluid level (open fill plug, stick your finger inside and see if you can feel the fluid at or near the top of the hole).

It looks to me that possibly the transfer case adapter gasket at the rear of the trans is leaking.
