I have this noise coming from my AC vents when it is on high. Curious if others have it or it is just one of the personalities of my ride.

Yes I have this on my truck too. I asked the dealer to look at it when I brought it in to have some other stuff done, but they said they didnt really notice it and I was in a hurry so I didnt press the issue, but I am planning on having them put on chrome door handles and I think Im going to really point it out when they have it. It doesnt seem to bother anyone else but to me random noises like that which shouldnt be there are really annoying.

I have it too. I thought it had something to do with the aftermarket navigation install. it only happens every couple days and goes away after a minute or so. Very annoying. Please post if you find out how to get rid of it.

I've noticed it also mainly when fan is running on high. I'll add to list of items to look at for first trip to dealer (mainly for throttle surge issue).

Fixed it. I played with the vent controls and discovered a couple things. First, if you angle the vents left towards the driver, the sound goes away. If you angle it towards the passenger it comes back. The real culprit is the wheel below the vent which controls whether it is open or closed. If the wheel is not completely turned to the right (open) the sound will appear when it is about 99% open. I could make the sound disappear by pushing the wheel firmly to the right or pushing it left about 1/2 inch from right stop. The sound seems to be caused by the internal flap that controls the opening and closing of the vent. When it is all the way open, it must be firmly pushed all the way open or closed ever so slightly. If it is open but not formly pushed to the right stop, you will get the sound. If you move the wheel while the AC is on high, you can make the sound apear and disappear. First, angle the vent to the right and put the fan on high. Then move the wheel below the vent to the right and then slightly left and you will see what I mean. Worked for me anyway.

Once again, glad I am not the only one with this problem. Mine only does it on high. The minute the fan speed goes low the sound goes away. It really is starting to bother me because it just keeps getting muggier and hotter here. The auto air stays on high much longer. clc3251 I wil try and give it a shot and report back if it worke for me.

i had it too. the dealer was talking about taking out my dash board to fix it. the mechanic took out the vent and found a problem with the air flow direction changer (vent control) he also used some compressed air to blow out anything that might have been in there Everything works great now.

I get a squeaking sound when the AC is on, even at low speeds. Took it to dealer when it was under warranty and they replaced the fan belt as a precautionary measure...

Anyone else getting a "squeaking" sound?
