Wanted: Hu Dash Kit W/o Pocket

I've seen pictures of other peoples' '03+ installs where the pocket in the dash kit was covered. I'd love to be able to find this kit because I think that the install kit with the pocket looks like total crap, plus the top of the pocket isn't straight across, it arches down in the middle, leaving an unsightly gap. Anyone know where I can find a kit for an '04 without the pocket???

you can always use the pocket as a start ... take the whole kit ... and cut the back of pocket off ... then trim up some of the scrap to fit in the pocket opening and epoxy it in place ... then bondo / fiberglass the whole kit face ... to fill in any other holes / gaps / etc ... once its done just sand it smooth and to shape .. and hit it with some textured paint or cover it in material to match your interior ...

 

there's only a few companys that make the kits ...
