You know I use to DIY it and then I came to find.....It's cleaner, faster, and costs less to take it to the GM oil change shop at the dealer. They use Mobil 1 and it's done in about 10 mins and my driveway is clean and so am I. About $33.00 and I'm done.

The oil alone almost costs me that at Walmart...

It's up to you....

locate the oil pan infront of the bell housing on the transmission, the drain plug is pointing toward the passenger on the side of the oil pan and you can see a buldge in the pan that leads to the plug. hope that helps

I would be glad to pay to have it done for only $33...around here you can't hardly get an oil change using regular oil for that price!

it costs about 70$ to get our kind of truck oil changed in my town (for mobil 1) ...

Thats nuts. I spend $57.00 on 6 quarts of Royal Purple and a K&N Oil filter or $50.00 if I use a Napa gold filter

OK first off idk about the dealership automaticly replacing your oil with mobil 1 unless you ask for it and they straight up tell you yes we are putting mobil 1 on your vehicle at the dealership i work at we charge $9.95 for a basic oil change which we use a bulk of some GM oil trust me not mobil 1...dont get me wrong its still alright but yeah not mobil 1....i think we charge around $60 for are premium oil changes which is mobil 1........but yeah about your oil drain plug it is on the lower part of your engine oil pan and is either a 13mm or a 15mm depending on your vehicle and its either facing towards the back of your truck or facing the passangers side.....you should notice it pretty easy its the only thing on the lower part of your oil pan thet can be unbolted

Sorry, I can't help on the location of your plug, but have a comment on the price of an oil change.

I change my own oil and filter for around $20. I just use regular dino Valvoline 5w-30 and usually an A/C Delco filter, but I've also used Pureolators and the Advance Auto Parts brand and I change them around every 3,000 miles. Plus I grease all the fittings and just do general inspection of everything and it usually doesn't take me morethan 1/2 an hour. The most important thing to me though, is that I know it's done to my satisfaction and done right.
