Nbs Magnaflow Question

I saw an 04 avalanche today that had magnaflow duals out the rear...It had big slash cut tips on it...is this what comes on the NBS system? If not can we put them on? I think they looked great and really sounded good on the AV!

They are slash tips but nothing radical.

Look in my sig for the Magnaflow link. I have the single side out but it comes with a beautiful 4 inch tip.

I have the single side out and I love it, although I like the looks of the dual outlet system better. I wish Magnaflow would use the nice tip they are putting on the '07 system on the older ones. It has a more finished look. The 4" slash-cut tip on mine has the 3" pipe sticking through almost to the end. I think it looks odd that way, but it is nicely centered.

I think the AV had dual 4 inch slash cut tips from what they looked like....The slash was at more of an angle and they HAD to be 4 inch.......Can we get these on the NBS or not? I'm talking dual outlet under bumper!

Looking on the Magnaflow website all there dual exit systems come with 3.5" tips for the GMT-900 trucks. The singles come with 4" but not the duals. Magnaflow makes a system for the GMT-900 with dual rear exits part# 16741 but the pictures i've seen of it aren't with slash cut tips just straight pipes. You could probably just order a pair of 4" slash cuts by Magnaflow.

This has nothing to do with your topic but I see you are running Pirelli Scorpions like my truck has but in a 35 series. How do they ride? Any wheel damaging yet from rough spots?

Contact Magnaflow directly. They can probably put together whatever system you want. The #16741 system I put on mine has the straight tips with the rolled edges. Not sure...I think they call them resonator tips. I think it sounds great.

hey my scorpions ride awesome! They ride smooth and quiet but are a little more rigid in the bumps versus the stock tires. I have not damaged my wheels yet because I am running 315's for the added width. My tire is wider then the rim so they are basically protected. I have run over curbs and everything and the tire saves them every time! They were rubbing slightly at full turn against the body fastener in the wheel well but I popped it out and haven't had a problem since!
