0-60 Times On Nbs Trucks

Just for the fun of it, I used the stopwatch in my cellphone the other night to see what my 0-60 time is. I hit the button as soon as my foot hit the floor. I was very dissapointed to see that it took me roughly 10.2-10.4 seconds to reach 60mph! Hence the fact that I am running 24 inch wheels and I never tried it on my stock wheels.....Give it a try and post your times and what engine/rear end combo u have! Be truthfull I dont wanna see that someone in a 5.3 crew cab is running 0-60 in 6.5 seconds! LOL....Also am interested to see what the 6.0 is doing. Cya!

Yesterday I did a run with my silverado, and i was around 8-9 seconds, going by time on cd playing in truck, for the 0-60. No tuning and just a intake and exhaust. I know with a performance tune, you can be down in the 6's for 0-60.

MAN! I love all of this high tech timing equipment you guys are using! First a phone... then a CD player!

Anybody have a stopwatch they can loan us?

My unofficial time (counting 1 mississippi, etc) from a dead stop to 60 in my 6.0L, is 6 seconds. Now I know this aint exactly spot on, but even if I'm off figuring worst case @ 7.0 secons. but it's proably in the low 6.0's

I have an Interceptor gauge installed that will track 0-60mph & 1/4 mile. I'll have to give it a go this weekend and see.

wow I can't believe the 6.0 is 4 seconds faster then my truck!!!! I'm sure my 24 inch wheels are putting a huge damper on that though! My cell phone has a stopwatch feature that I used so it's not all that far off!! I'm guessing somewhere in the 8 second range would sound right with the stock wheels on it. I will try my g-tech out tomorrow and let you know what I came up with. Does anyone know the weight of the 5.3 crew cab with the aluminum block so I can plug that into the g-tech?
