Edge Evo $$

After alot of reading forums on different programers I've finally decided to go ahead and get the Edge Evo. I know that there are alot of you guys out there that all ready have these, I've been looking online and I noticed a wide price range. Anybody got any input on the cheapest place to pick one up? I'm assuming that they are all the same....

If you want an engine monitor i guess its cool..... If you want a tune, get a custom one done. Find someone local with HP tuners that is willing to tune your truck. Probably cost you $200. $100 to unlock your VIN and $100 for his time..

 

If want a digital monitor like that, I believe that MSD makes one that is JUST a monitor....called the NIGHTHAWK or somthing like that...

The 2 tuners in my area (Mpls, MN) both want over $500 to tune my truck. One uses EFI Live and the other uses HP Tuners. Problem is, neither of which will allow me to return to my stock tune if I need dealer/warranty work. The nice part is both CAN remove as much TM as I want them to. Handhelds cannot (yet). I am still "on the fence" and trying to be patient, but right now I am considering the Edge if I can get one for under $400. Then I will hope they will come out with updates as they get the capability to tune out TM.

When you get the Wait4me handheld (SCT), are you essentially getting 3 of these 'custom' tunes, or are you getting a 'handheld' tune ? If its more like the custom tune, it should be on everyones checklist at 360 for 3 tunes.

The cheapest price is at www.howellautomotive.com. They charge $399.99+shipping and handling. Edge also now is offering a $50 rebate on the evolution which brings the price down to $349. The only problem is that they are pretty slow in shipping out your order. I ordered mine on August 9th and it didnt ship untill today the 23rd. But I can wait if I'm only paying $350.
