Looking To Upgrade Headunit

Recommended Posts

I currently have a basic XM CD Player Headunit with iPod connectivity. Im looking for something with at LEAST a DOT Matrix display. All of sonys new stuff is BUTT ugly. Panasonic and Pioneer have some decent stuff, and Alpine is on drugs. Who else out there has single DIN headunits with a dot matrix display that costs less then like 300 bucks?

i have an alpine one .. that 'is on drugs' .. so sorry i can't be much help ... (but i paid 280 for it, the install stuff and all, for 100 more i could have upgraded to their higher end display)

Since you have a single DIN, you might want to look at the new Pioneer navigation radio that just came out. I believe it is the N4. I just put an AVIC Z1 in and love it. Good luck.

Any of the pioneer premier decks are going to be great. The more ya spend, the better it gets. I normally check 'em out at the local electronic stores first and make sure you like the controls, layout, looks, features, etc.

Out of those choices, my vote would be for the Pioneer DEH-P5900iB. You could also step up to the DEH-P6900UB and get a built-in USB input.
