Saw this thread over at Silvy SS and brought it over here so I can here from people I know... sorta. Anyway my fastest speed was 120 in our D-max, pretty lame, I know but we dont have anything faster. Actually now that I think about it we dont even own a car, but we do have 3 pickups and ... a minivan... :)

185 - Front straight Texas World Speedway in a GT1 Camaro in our old SCCA days back in 1990.

170+ on my heavily massaged Kawasaki Ninja when I was much younger - many times. My buddy on his Suzuki never could keep up. Boy that was fun but I wouldn't do it today on a bet.

Funny how the years make you less willing to die "having fun" isn't it?

No too fast now that I actually think about it... But then again the most powerful thing I have driven doesnt have overdrive, and has a 4:11 rear end so it's top speed is nothing impressive.

Now our karts is another thing, I broke 100 at Daytona but the fastest I have proof of is this:

Probably only 96-98 whatever the "old" governor was in my truck before the tune.

I know the governor in my Altima shuts it down at 127. I've seen people with the same car take it over 140. I wouldn't want to try it with the POS continental tires it came with...

130 in my sisters old altima. It seemed to develop a real bad shake at that speed, so I figured that was fast enough. Got up to abou 140 in my cousins 77 chevy stepside....man that truck was quick!

140+ in 1988. I had to see if the 140MPH speedo in my stock 88 GTA 5.7TPI would work with the needle there......pegged for about 3 minutes.

91MPH Fountain Fever 38 - twin SC EFI502's in open water...smmooooth, but 120 gallons gone in a flash.

In any vehicle not properly spoiled for high speed can get fairly scary. The GTA's front end got pretty light with a very noticable lifting above 135MPH.

Since I'm getting in the 'old fart' age, don't try it...there's too many road imperfections that'll launch your vehicle towards those bridge supports.

Between 180-200mph riding as a passenger in a stock car on Atlanta Motor Speedway. I don't know the exact speed because the cars don't have speedometers but I am guess it was about 190mph.

118 in Silverado in a 55 mph zone

117 On F7 on highway

143 on ZX7R in 45 mph zone

Actually, reading the other posts more I recall one time about 6 years ago getting a ride in a neighbors RT10, that was probably the fastest ride but no clue how fast we went
