Recommended Cold Tire Pressure For 20" Wheels/tires On Nbs Trucks

I replaced the oem 17" cast aluminum wheels/tires with oem 20" GM LTZ wheels/tires on my '07 Silverado crew cab.

DISCOUNT TIRE recommended 35# front and rear unless towing a heavy load, then increasing to 38# maximum in the rear, basically the 17" recommendations. It's a comfortable ride and I'm observing no unusual tire wear patterns.

Anyone know?? Thanks in advance.

Anything less than 32 trips the TPMS on mine. I am running 35 in all 4. If you are buying tires, I highly recommend the Pirelli Scorpion ATRs. They are about the best all around performance tire I have ever had and they are perfectly quiet. WOO HOO.

This is right from a bulletin from GM concerning 20" wheels,Its bulletin #06-03-10-011B......

Important: All tire and wheel packs are shipped with two different tire labels. Following is a breakdown on when each label should be used -- dependent on whether the vehicle is equipped with the Enhanced Towing Performance Package (RPO NHT):

• Pick-ups equipped with RPO NHT, use tire label P/N 19165889 (road tire pressure of 32 psi).

• Pick-ups NOT equipped with RPO NHT, use tire label P/N 19166773 (road tire pressure of 30 psi).

If I adhere to that my TPMS goes nuts when my tires are cold. at 35psi I never have a problem.

Thanks for the review on the Scorpion ATRs. :banghead: I've been looking for a tire that works great in the rain, adequate in the snow, and is QUIET to replace the dismal, dangerous in the rain Goodyears on my '06. Yesterday I ran across the Scorpion ATRs and the reviews on Tire Rack were rave. I have a set on order to be installed tomorrow. Will provide a report after some use and various weather conditions.
