Brush Guards For The Nbs?

Recommended Posts

I'm just wondering as I've seen no grill guards on the ones around here, I saw a NBS 2500 with one though.

Because I have to get a Brush guard for mine when I get it :shakehead: Problem is, I'm scared what the black will look like on the brown truck. I know its a social death to wear black and brown together, but I'm not a huge fan of chrome on anything but white.

Thanks for any help!

Lots of folks are making them now. I have a bunch of them on my site.

Look about halfway down the page for brush/grille guards. (For information purposes only... I am not soliciting business)

To be honest I haven't seen any around yet either. The only thing I have seen on the NBS is the westin bull bar. I had this on my 05 chevy and its nice and looks good with lights on it. The only thing I don't like about the bull bars and all the other grille guards is that they are only for looks...if you hit a deer or god for bid a f**king moose that bar or grille will do more damage than with out...and they certainly are not going to stop anything. The only true grille guards are the guards and bumpers that are all one piece. Ali Arc makes them. They are the best. They don't look the greatest but they sure do there job. I work out in the oil patch and do alot of highway driving and I see alot of them on trucks...I am not sure if they make them for the NBS yet. As for color I am not a big fan of chrome either but it will last longer than black.

Thanks for the link! I'll check them out. I agree about the front end replacement, I just dont think I'm going to do one on this 1500 though, I've did them on the 3/4 ton's I've had in the past and liked them though, I guess it will all come down to what looks the best.

Westin - 2 point mount - loose your tow hooks

Ranch hand - they do exist

GO industries - 4 point mount and keep your tow hooks

There arre more out there - it just depends on if you want to loose your tow hooks and how its attached - kinda thinking there more fashion than function - hence the Warn Transformer GMT900 - # 76430 Sierra , # 75230 Silverado

Adaptable for : Winch, lights, front reciever and Brush guard

just got off the phone with Warn Customer service - they will not be offering a Trans4mer for the GMT900 Sierra LD till November - and no the Silverado Trans$mer is not compatible with the Sierra ( frame attachments ) ,, which i find kinda weird - figured that the chassic frames are the same - must be bumper mounts that are different ..

wait till Xmas i guess ...

I don't know that I like the ranch hand brush guard on the NBS trucks. I guess I would have to see more pictures. Anyone have any pictures of the NBS Chevy outfitted with the Warn?

aries makes a good looking one. It is expensive as all get out. Another good looking guard is made by a company called polar bear. You can look around but a stainless one piece is going to run in the ange of $900-$950 for the NBS. I remeber buying a 1 piece westin for my 97 z71 for $300 w/ tax, this is ridiculous.
