07 2500 Oil Filter/plug

I changed the oil on my 07 2500 6.0 gas for the first time and have a few questions?

Why does the oil pan plug have no magnet?

Is there a larger oil filter than the PF48?

The oil pressure hot at idle is 30 psi and 40 psi at 2000 rpm. Is the normal for the 6.0 engine?

thanks, David in Tomball TX

Your oil pressure readings are spot on with mine so I'm assuming it's normal.

Not sure but is the plug itself magnetic?

The small oil filter was a shock to me when I first saw it as well...

Glad you have the same oil pressure readings but it seems lower than previous GM engines. The oil pan plug looks to be alloy. I will check next time to see if it is magnetized. The parts house manager had no suggestions for a larger oil filter. I looked at the wix and it is the same size. The PF48 is used on three engine sizes 4.?, 5.3 and 6.0.
