I got a Hewlett Packard Camera from best buy, I think it was like 130 bucks.  Takes decent pictures and stores about 10-15 in the camera memory card.  It works great for taking shots of installs on the truck and throwing then uploading them right away.  The quality is good and has some decent features (2x zoom, flash, red eye reduction, 1.8" screen...)

I have a Sony Cybershot DSC-S30. Not sure what the difference may be, but I'm sure that newer one is better than mine. I got mine almost a year ago I think. It has worked great for me so far, and it fits in your pocket easily. I bought the 8mb memory card for it, and right now I have over 40 pics on it and I only used about 1/4 of the memory. $300 is a good price. I payed $399 for mine at Walmart!  :0

I got my Sony at Wal-Mart and it is a MVC-FD75. I cannot remember what the cost was. The best feature I like is that it takes floppy disk. That way I can take pictures and download the into any computer.

If it runs on some AA's get the rechargable ones.  When I bought my camera I thought the guy was just trying to get me to buy more stuff, but man that thing goes through batteries.

Here's another good web site for Digital Camera reviews.

You can read the forums or do a side by side review of diffrent cameras. Check it out.

u should make shure that u have usb connection on your computer and that it works, win 98se is flaky about usb sometimes. if your install is old it may not be working

win 2000 or xp do a beter job with USB

try to get as much info on the driver as possible, go to thier site and see how hard it is to find updates for the driver and what date is on the latest one

I have a cheap digital it was $50 (pic u see below) the colors are verry unpredictable it is fuzzy looking all the time (look closely at the wheels)  and the driver sux, it is twain compliant so i use photoshop to grab pix this seams to stabilize the driver, u should not have problems like this out of a major brand camera

I realy like the cannon digital elf it is samll has a nice screan and verry good picture quality but last time i looked it was ~500$  :sneek:  ???
