Front Diff Actuator

Hi GM Tech.

Hoping you can help me out or steer me in the right direction.

My front diff actuator will not disengage. I have replaced my 4x4 switch in the dash and also replaced the actuator but still it stays in the engaged or 'out' position.

When I was testing it, I had it out of the diff, still plugged in and I engaged and disingaged my 4x4......I could clearly hear the motor in the transfer case engaging and disingaging but the actuator did not respond.

Thanks very much

Sorry I can't help you out with your question, but I have one for you. What's that front grill piece that you have lights mounted to? That looks like something I would want on my Sierra 1500. Again, sorry I'm off topic and don't have any advice for you.

Thats an actual light bar from 'Pro-Comp'......they had them on sale a while back.............got it for 50 bucks and its kinda different.

Is the actuator getting power when turned on?

Im honestly not sure.

I suppose I could easily check with a test light................Do you know how the wires are supposed to respond.......like which one is supposed to be live when I switch to 4x4 mode and such?
