Dic Reset

My 2004 Yukon does not show all of the options on the DIC. Is there a way to reset it to the factory default? As I look through the manual there are over 1/2 of the options missing. Maybe I am doing something wrong.

Anyone have any ideas?

Like what options? Without steering wheel controls, they're essentially turned off.

 

And if it's an SLE, without things like the mirrors with extra adjustments, and such, those won't be there either. We have an '04 Suburban LS with the wheel controls, and nothing has ever seemed "missing" from the DIC that should be there.

 

If it IS fully optioned, then maybe you're just not scrolling through correctly. Hard to tell, unless you spell out what seems to be missing.

Hi and thanks for the reply. It is a 2004 SLT Vin Number 1GKEK13ZX4J213090 fully loaded. Has steering wheel controls. The things missing that show in the manual are

Personal Trip Info

Business Trip Info

Anual log

Instant Fuel Eco

Seat Position Recall

There may be others but these are the ones that show in the manual and are missing. Everything else is there which makes me think there is something in the programing that is wrong.

 

Any ideas?

Are you maybe not pushing the correct controls on the steering wheel? I believe the left two are the ones that go thru all those options.

I can scroll thru all of the option and it is not there. On most cars there is a factory default mode that you can reset your DIC to. I guess something is just off on this one. I guess the DIC is just screwed up. I would not think they would have different programing for the DIC's but then again who knows what lurks in the minds of the GM Engineers.
