j.roffel Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 Was starting to miss my iPod so I decided to take things into my own hands. I decided that the empty spot beside the passenger airbag control would be a good place to pot a 1/8 input. My friend had a RF modulator that he installed before realising he didn't have an mp3 player. So he gave me that and after buying an RCA to 1/8 and a 1/8 socket from Radioshack. After a bit of cutting and cursing I got this installed, very cleanl if I may say so myself. Plug in a MP3 player, flick the switch and put the radio to 88.3.
j.roffel Posted October 9, 2007 Author Posted October 9, 2007 Yeah, it's quite the opposite of my usual install. On a side note, anyone know what comes in the spot from the factory?
topdj Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 nice and clean, but for only 25-35000 you could have got a new sierra/chevy with the jack for free

J45p3r Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 Nice work. Looks like that switch is a little crooked though.
VMax2007 Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 Nice work. Looks like that switch is a little crooked though. Not crooked, it's "Ergonomically Oriented".
eric1514 Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 Nicely done! Do you have any pictures of how you got behind that dash piece? Thanks, Eric
j.roffel Posted October 9, 2007 Author Posted October 9, 2007 HaHa Someone noticed... I didn't have a 3/4 Drill bit so by the time I squeezed it in it wasn't moving... as for getting behind there just pull on the top right corner and itll pop off. then pull on that piece and itll pop out.
