Dang, where do I sign up!

I used to have mixed emotions about that new style, but I'm starting to warm to it now, a little.

Just wonder whether Chevy will scream loud and long enough to keep Caddy from either producing something like it, or de-tuning the power?

I take it this is strictly a concept car at this time?  Maybe it will be in Detroit for the show.   :D

Looks like an American Lamborghini.

But I don't think it's "up my alley". :D

LOL or in my budget....I thought I read somewhere it was going to use the prototype version of the  Northstar engine...

Pretty much all the upcoming Caddy's that look like that will be a hit!  The Cien, the upcoming CTS, the replacment STS, the Evoq, Caddy's mini-suv, they're all knock outs in my view.

If you go to adcritic.com and lookup Cadillac, there is a kick butt commercial on there that I saw on TV maybe twice that shows a glimpse of all these and then in the end, the Evoq pulls up next to a classic 59 (I think) Caddy.  it brought a tear to my eye.  :D

Hmmm.... Maybe I'm just conservative, but I think the thing's FUGLY! :D  :)

Just not my style.. I'm not into all of the sharp edges and triangles, I guess.  looking at it I'm suprised the wheel wells aren't trapezoidal  :)

Holly Smokin Sheet! Is that slick or what man!

But in the real world; if YOU had That and I had a Feather, we would both be tickled  ;)

It looks better than some of the crap they have on the road now, but I am just not a fan of the sharp lines they are using.  I prefer smooth flowing lines, or the boxy looks of the 70's Chevy's.

Don't forget about the upcoming XLR.  RWD with the Northstar V8.  Built at the Corvette plant, so does that mean shared components?

Rob

Yea, that's the Evoq.

Cadillac was arguing for the longest time about getting to use their Nortstar engine in it instead of the LS6 as they deemed the LS6 to much of a "hot-rod" motor in it's personality.

Plus they wanted something they already had all the technical tools to work on it with

I think I read somewhere that they put in a whole new production line for it in Bowling Green, KY.  So I assume that since it won't roll on the same exact line as the C5, it won't be a Y-car shared platform.  Or will it?

It will be a Y-Body shared platform.  Just cause it doesn't come down the same assembly line doesn't mean it can't share a common chassis.

Key is, it is the C6 Y-Body chassis as the Vette will be redesigned in a few years.
