Rough Paint Job Price?

Any of ya'll know about ballpark price as to how much I could expect to pay to have my whole '07 Silverado repainted? A quality a paint job like you would get from the factory. ($1000, $2000, $5000+?)

 

I'm gonna get an estimate on Monday...I was just wondering if maybe any of you had one done recently and could tell me what I might expect?

A GOOD (not show quality) correctly done paint job should run somewhere around $3500 - 4500 on a truck if you are going with the same color. This should include removing all trim, lights, door handles, etc. any body work would be extra. A color change can add 20 - 30% to the price and will likely ruin your resale value...

 

If color is what you are changing... I'd recommend just trading it in for a truck that you like the color of rather than losing your ass when it comes time to sell.

There is some truth in that!

 

You could also rent a sprayer at Home Depot and buy a couple of gallons of exterior latex. Make sure you buy the same color as your house so people can't see your truck in the driveway...
