I guess you had something to do with this one Shaner's. It was our "leader" on a coal train yesterday. I took a look at the blue card and it said that it was built on 6/25/02 in Erie PA.

Yep my fingerprints are on the engine I'm sure...  Most likely on the Turbo somewhere.

 

If you want to see our plant I can get you in there on Oct 5...  (That's the diesel engine plant only)

Ahhh. That pic brings back some memories. I worked as a Flux Core/Sub Arc/Stick welder at G.E. Erie in the early 80's.

Main Sill area (started the frame from I beams) in Bldg. #5.

There are some frames out there (uncracked I hope) with my finger prints and weld stamp (I think it was R6) on them. :)

Some of the memories are fond. But talk about hot and gritty. :exclaim:  :exclaim:  :D  :thumbs:
