Oil analysis

Ok i requested an oil analysis kit from a place in indiana (blackstone labs).

 

Truck has 20K change the oil every 3K.  

 

Think i should spend $18.50 and get my oil tested for the heck of it?  I am kinda curious what they find

 

Anyone get this done yet?

I've never heard of the oil analysis kit your talking about, but I called my dealer the other day when my Check Oil Level light came on.  He said that I should bring the truck in and have them change the oil and then do an analysis on the system.  It used a quart of oil in 2500 miles, and this is the first time the oil light has come on.  Not sure if I should be worried about it though.

I havn't done this myself but I work with a fair bit of hydraulic motors, and  compressors, and the boss has a guy come in and do an anaylisis he swears by it.
