Sierra Nbs Billet Grill

Recommended Posts

I just got an '08 Sierra CC 4x4 VortecMax. I'm wanting to add a billet grill but I don't like the looks of the ones with the cutout for the emblem. Can I get a grill without the cut out and use the oem hardware to attach the emblem to it?

Thanks,

I don't like the emblem look either. This is a carriage works replacement. Took a little cutting and sanding, but wasn't too bad.

i bought one from ebay

but you remove the red GMC logo and it goes right over top

look sharp for $80 vs a replacement grille in the hundreds!

I've got one of the plain billets, as for using oem hardware to attach the logo i'm not sure but you can probably rig something up. Also this is not the overlay type. These are made by T-Rex and you need to do some cutting and filing but you can get overlay ones as well by T-rex 2743560_11_full.jpg

Mine too! You can check the link in my sig to give you an idea of what is involved in the install.

that looks VERY hot

i WAS going to get the lower grill too, but i would've had to cut the lower bumper

and my truck is a lease (i can't afford to buy the d**n thing right now!) so i don't want to modify it beyond repair

but yeah..with my ebay grill,

if the sun is shining brightly, you can slightly see the black "GMC" shape where the red emblems used to attach too....

but it still looks good

Thats exactly how I did it. Not very hard. When you pop off the GMC logo dont break the tabs. The tabs go through the grill and I secured it using Drywall screws through the tabs. The Drywall screws are long enough that they rest against the back of the grill. This prevents the grill from moving at all. I will try to post some pics this weekend if you like.

When you put the lower billet grill on, how hard was it to remount the license plate holder, I havent installed mine yet, front license plates are required here, could you give me any inside info as to the re installation of the bracket. thanks.
