Hi, I used to own a Chevy and a Sonoma. I am just disappointed that GM is moving their production and assembly to Mexico and Canada. I went to the dealership and was astonished to find that their truck was assembled in Canada. Why? Perhaps this question is best left unanswered at this time. I know my Father in law that spent 30+ years at various plants in Anderson, IN and is appalled at what is happening. Now, he is worried is pension and insurance being taken away or dramatically reduced. What a shame! That is why I have created this petition:

please consider reading it and leaving your signature. It is wrong what they are doing and it has an effect on real people that gave a lot of their time, energy, and years of their lives to not feel secure in their retirement.

You know they build chevy trucks in Indiana right? Fort Wayne. They build the 1500 Ext cabs (reg cabs too I believe).

Actually, yes I do know that they do. But, the truck I looked at said it was made in Canada. I wonder where those Fort Wayned Trucks go anyway?

I really was sighting Anderson, IN once a GM town now it is ALL gone. This is the travesty. I really wonder where they go.

Oh, Hi to a fellow Hoosier

Mine has an Indiana sticker on the door  What kind of truck did you look at? Crewcab? It is a sad state (no pun) of all the plants closing and such. Look at Allison Transmission they are not owned by gm anymore and they were a money maker.

Being from Canada, don't see the issue why GM would build some of their trucks here.

A lot of GM products are produced in Canada.

I had four trucks built at the Oshawa truck plant,A '94-'97-'99 and an '04,All ext-cab short-beds,The build quality was excellent!

I have no issues with cars/trucks being built there,Now Mexico is another story,Don't get me started on that subject :lol::lol::lol:
