Extendable Visors

Anyone know of any of the NBS 07+ trucks that come with extendable visors? Mine doesn't have them and I am wondering if any of the better trim models or maybe the Tahoe or something has them that would fit.

 

One of those things you don't even look for in a vehicle but miss it when you realise it doesn't have them. My last few trucks have had them and I love them to be able to extend them back all the way on the side to block the sun.

 

Any ideas?

 

I'm fixing to order a new inside rear mirror so if I can find a part number or a place to start looking for a part number would be great.

 

Edit - color wouldn't matter either - any color would do.

Mine extend on my truck,I have an "LT2" trim level.

The whole visor itself extends (I.E. Theres not a separate extension piece)

Cool thanks, my dealer isn't all that helpful when ordering parts. Mainly because he has one guy who is the person who orders stuff, works on stuff and cleans the floors. So if I can find one on the lot (out of 10 trucks) that has them maybe he can order a replacement from that VIN or something.

My 07 Crew Cab has it, at least on the drivers side, never looked at the passenger side.

I just reread that. Yeah mine slides on that rod to the back. I thought maybe some models had the ones that pulled out with the extra small visor behind it so you could let down both.

Yea, Nathan. My 02 Tahoe hat that visor where the extra piece slides out. This 05 Silverado does not...just one of those things you miss going into a different vehicle.

Yeah....I miss the second small visor too. If your on a straigh road it doesn't matter but on a curvy windey road and the sun is just right I can wear my arm out moving that thing around lol.

 

In a few months won't notice it when the sun angle changes.

Weird, I have a 05 z-71 and it has the extra piece that slides out. A volkswagon I rode in had a little small one that would slide out behind the rearview mirror, nice touch.

My S-10 had the best. It had a big visor with a full length deal that slid out of it. Then behind that one was a small one. That way you could put the one to the side and flip the small one down and have it covered when the sun got in the corner.

 

Also the extendable part was notched so you could flip driver/passanger down and pull those out and they would match up behind the rear view mirror to totally block out the top 5" of the window.

Wow, I almost skipped reading this thread becasue I didn't think it would be interesting. I never knew my truck's visor extended on the rod. I was driving one day and was wishing it had that extendable piece and was a bit disappointed it wasn't there. If I had only known, I could have just pulled the whole dang thing back.
