Upgrading 06 Crew Cab Stereo System

Greetings O'Knowledge base of GMC wisdom:

 

Im looking to upgrade my 06 gmc sierra crew cab stereo system using the stock non bose factory cd head unit. I would like to replace the front door speakers with some components and in the rear doors components as well or something with a little bass to round out the sound. Id also like to run an amp to get better power to the speakers and more overall volume from the system.

 

Has anyone done something similar with their crew cab and what parts did you need to complete the job. Im open to all suggestions on brands of speaker and amps to boot. I would also like to keep the factory harness intact.

 

Id also like to get some sort of AUX adapter so I can run my zune without the fm transmitter.

 

Any and all information provided is appreciated, and yes, I did search on the topics and didnt find the answers I was looking for.
