So who's travelling for the holiday weekend? This thread may come a little late for many here, but I was just curious what everyone's Thanksgiving plans were, and if they involved travel.

I will be staying in Ohio and having Thanksgiving with my fiance's family. We'll probably go back to Missouri for Christmas with my family.

I wish everyone safe travels this weekend and enjoy the turkey-induced comas! Haha.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Traveling but not far. In fact if the weather is pretty, I will be getting my little 71 out for a road trip.

Remember, the Indians helped the Pilgrims and the Pilgrims were certainly grateful for their help, but Thanksgiving is not about the Pilgrims being thankful to the Indians!!

Think about it!!

Happy Thanksgiving !!!

This year, I only have to drive across town. Doing-up a turkey and some desserts, for a family thing w/ my parents, an aunt & uncle, and my grandma. It should be a nice time... :P

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! May your journeys be swift, safe, and happy!

The Tradition Continues...almost 9 years on the job and I've worked every Thanksgiving and Christmas. We'll be getting an extra special treat this year though- 12 hours of fun vs. the usual 8. Travel safe and enjoy folks.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING ALL!

We are traveling to my Mom and Dad's house about 110 miles away. Not a bad trip. Good highways all the way.

Be safe everybody!

I'll be traveling about a 1/4 of a mile to my grandparent's house.

Now that is my kind of Holiday travel. :P

Believe me there were several times I was grateful to have them so close. You try locking your self out of the house and knowing the next person won't be there until 3-4 hours later.

I have a few family members on the force and a son in law in Iraq this holiday. There are many of of us out here who thank you for every day you serve.

Be safe!

That is a comfort to have some of your people close by. I recently DID lock myself out of my apartment by accident, and the guy with the master key wouldn't be able to show up for another 2 hours in the middle of the night. I learned how to pick locks with a putty knife that night! :D

Just a short 3hr trip tomorrow. We were going to take the roomy YD (people just love that Rear DVD player), but I think we'll be taking the TBSS instead. Despite it's 400hp LS2 and 4.10 gears, it still gets better MPG than the YD. The 1,000lb less weight helps. :P But it sure is fun to pass on those back roads (safely, of course)!

Hope everybody has a safe holiday as well, and Happy Thanksgiving!

Making a 1hr 40min trip I believe. Me and mom going to one of our Aunts I believe. But i'm not real sure. I'm out of the loop until it's time to go. :P (gotta love a family perdominantly of women)

Everybody be safe, have a great day. And remember it's more than just a holliday!

    • I really appreciate the response.  I guess I was confused about torque angle vs torque angle yield.  The individual bolts don't have a warning on reuse but the part number for the LCA nuts does.   Regarding the purpose of the moog grease fittings on their bolts .. Guessing to reduce possibility of corrosion locking the cams or seizing to the bushing inserts.
    • The top speed is software limited, I don't think there's a way to change it without de-doing the whole truck. If you can get a CAN log per my above post we can try seeing if there's anything obvious going on. What happens when you plug the truck in to charge it, does it ever fully charge up or does it stay at low battery %?
    • The LCA bolts are NOT a one time use fastener.  GM does not have them called out as such at all.   They are torque plus degree, but not a one time use TTY.  Nowhere in the service manual does it call out for replacing the LCA bolts for being one time use.  The factory spec would apply to the Moog bolts as well.    I see two things different.  The Moog bolts are greaseable (which I see no point in) and they don't have one of the washers welded to the bolt like the factory bolts, so they can be used in all 4 positions.      Think about it.  The LCA bolts are now the alignment adjustment point, instead of the UCA bolts like the prior generation.  A bolt that is meant to be adjusted for alignment...would it make sense to make it a one time use component?  How would you get an alignment done in the first place?  You couldn't.       Also.  What TSB exactly?  There is no TSB that I see for 2019-2026 for over-torquing LCA bolts.  There was a PI, PIT5533C, but that covered 2014-2018 body trucks for re-torquing LCA mounting bolts.  But those trucks to a 2019-2026?  Not the same, so PIT5533C does not apply.
    • Nice looking setup!  Is this the kit you got?  If so 211 is a great deal!  https://accessories.chevrolet.com/product/trailering-camera-system-86584184   My TT came with a wireless rear camera but it only works on an app or a separate screen they sell so I've decide it's not worth the hassle since it keeps disconnecting and with wireless android auto it's a hassle trying to connect my phone to it.  So I've been thinking about adding the GM camera so it's integrated into the rest of the camera views.   I also found this one which seems to be a different PN & retail price that explicitly states the invisible trailer view https://www.shopchevyparts.com/chevrolet/2024/silverado-2500-hd/electronics/85825715-silverado-2500-trailer-camera-transparent-view-requires-trg-camera-provisions-p-92326971.html?sort=2a
