Spare Tire Down

OK, so I read the manual. I re-read the manual. I tried and tried to get the segmented tube/bar to connect. Nothing.

 

I had a friend stop by and in conversation I told my story. He just turned the segmented bar around to other end and voila. It connected.

 

I could swear I tried that but in actuality, I can't remember if I did.

 

Anyway, the spare is down. It is a nice shiney black rim. I kind of like the black color. I may even like 3 more to make a set.
